With Bassist you can play bass guitar straight from your iPhone or iPod Touch.
- Use it to experiment with new riffs in places where it would be inconvenient to take your guitar.

Play slap bass or finger-pick, or swap between them on the fly.

Since on a bass no two notes are identical, Bassist contains multiple samples for each note, playing a random one each time you pluck the string. Every single note in Bassist has been painstakingly sampled from a real bass guitar for maximum authenticity.

Both 4 and 5 string basses are provided, and a virtual fretboard can be easily scrolled up to the 12th fret. The number of visible frets can be modified to display between 3 (enables Bassist to be played by cradling the iPhone just like the neck of a guitar) and 10 (enables you to reach more notes without scrolling).

As with our best-selling application 'Guitarist', Bassist features two main guitar interfaces to accommodate different playing styles. Firstly there is the "Fret and Pluck" interface, in which you fret strings and then pluck or strum at a representation of a pickup to play them. Secondly there is the "Hammer-On" interface, in which you play notes simply by striking at the fret. Use whichever approach best suits the song.

Bassist supports left-handed players, flipping over the interface and restringing appropriately.
