| Because in the meantime many (many, many, many people asked me what was the meaning of time in the upper right corner of the Compass QIBLA is, I want to explain in general terms and therefore understandable that I am able to Time, which is valid in your time zone is actually valid only at a given longitude. If you live in Germany - like me - you've encountered (GMT + 1 h). Regarding the sun, however, it is only right when you live on the 15 degree (longitude) east. If you live in Austin, Texas GMT - 6 h is just the right time when you live in the west of 90th degree At 12:00 (noon) the sun is exactly vertically on this exact longitude which corresponds to your time zone. If you, like me, live in Munich (Bavaria), which is on the 11th degree east, the sun stands vertically only a little later. It must overcome 4 longitude degrees (from 15 to 11), which lasts an hour 4 / 15 (= 16 minutes - the sun makes 360 degrees per day therefore 15 degrees per hour Thus, in the COmass QIBLA time in the top right is the real place for you. If it is 12:00, the sun stands vertically above you I hope the explanation is so plausible. Since my mother tongue is not English, I wanted to ask all those who can explain in a clearer way to send me the explanation and I will forward / post it The COmass QIBLA is freeware, so unfortunately I can not do intensive support. Hope that you understand Kindest regards from Bavaria Ingo Boehme |
